The Dipper is quite a shy bird from what I have seen and when you do see them they are usually looking for food up and down the rivers. A usual feature of this lovely bird when you get to see it is it constantly keeps bobbing up and down, or I should say dipping up and down. This is the first one I have seen for over forty years and it was such a treat for me let alone managing to capture it with the camera.
