PORTRAIT OF A LADY

My wife, mum and I were walking through the Tehidy Country Park near Illogan, Cornwall a few weeks ago when we came upon a group of swans being lazy perhaps tired even and were laying across the path without a care in the world.

*Now a word of caution here.* If you annoy a swan it will rear up and flap its wings about and big wings they are and they will hurt you and it has been known for a swan to break someone’s arm so be careful when approaching one. Our dilemma was this, there were about seven here and not a swimming like the song goes. Jackie was being brave, I think plain stupid as she just walked around them followed by my mum. I lingered on the note of caution still well sort of; Mum and Jackie said I was the one being stupid. I got down on my knees and shuffled towards this beautiful lady shoved the zoom lens into her face and shot her. There was no malice coming from the swan or me. I showed it love and she was cool with that. So was it worth it? I think it was. Thanks for looking I am just going back to the hospital the get the plaster cast taken off my arm. LOL.
